Description
The client aims to maximise the value of ServiceNow SPM by focusing on out-of-the-box functionality, improving business processes, and driving platform adoption. The business analyst bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into practical SPM solutions and communicating the platform's capabilities and benefits.
Tasks
•Gather requirements and facilitate stakeholder workshops across portfolio, investment, demand, project, and strategic planning
•Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements using ServiceNow SPM out-of-the-box capabilities
•Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
•Advise stakeholders on SPM best practices, challenge unnecessary customisation, and recommend practical solutions
•Support the definition and optimisation of SPM processes and workflows
•Promote the value of SPM internally, build stakeholder buy-in, and encourage adoption
•Collaborate with product owners, architects, and technical teams to support successful delivery
•Support backlog prioritisation and continuous platform improvement
Requirements
•Proven experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst, with strong expertise in SPM
•Strong understanding of ServiceNow SPM out-of-the-box functionality
•Experience across Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management, Investment Planning, Portfolio Planning, and Strategic Planning
•Ability to translate business needs into clear, deliverable ServiceNow requirements
•Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills
•Ability to explain the business value of SPM and influence business and technology stakeholders
•Pragmatic approach to process improvement and platform configuration
•Experience in large, complex enterprise environments
•German proficiency at C1 level or above
Nice to have
•Relevant ServiceNow certifications, ideally in SPM
•Experience supporting ServiceNow implementations or transformation programmes
•Previous experience within German-speaking organisations
•Knowledge of the wider Now Platform and ServiceNow best practices
