About the Role
Transforming an insurance core is not only about changing a platform. It is about ensuring that processes, data, integrations and teams work as a single business solution. At NTT DATA, we are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst in the insurance sector to participate in the transformation of a BMP-based core system. This person will be key to connecting business needs with viable technical decisions, working across architecture, development, delivery and business teams.
Responsibilities
•Analyze business processes and needs, turning them into clear, traceable and actionable functional and technical requirements.
•Understand the functional and technical behavior of systems: data structures, interfaces, configurations and solution limitations.
•Lead end-to-end analysis across systems and squads, identifying integrations, dependencies, gaps and risks.
•Support solution design in cross-functional capabilities such as payments, accounting, and input and output management.
•Work with architecture and technical teams to validate solution feasibility and alignment with platform standards.
•Support the resolution of requirements and solution questions during implementation, integration testing, UAT and go-live.
•Prepare and maintain structured documentation: requirements, processes, epics, BRDs and solution descriptions.
Requirements
•At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or in an equivalent role.
•Experience in technology transformation projects within the insurance sector.
•Broad knowledge of insurance processes and of the role of an insurance core platform in an insurer's operations.
•Ability to discuss integrations, interfaces, APIs, dependencies between systems and data flows with confidence.
•Experience in functional and technical analysis, requirements definition, fit/gap analysis and support for solution design.
•Experience collaborating with business, architecture, development, QA and delivery teams.
•Advanced English, at least C1, to work in an international context.
•Clear communication, structured thinking and the judgment to turn technical complexity into decisions that business teams can understand.
Nice to Have
•Knowledge of or exposure to payments, accounting and document management/input-output processes will be especially valued.
Conditions
Here, you will not join a project just to document requirements. You will have the opportunity to influence how business processes connect with an architecture that must support a significant transformation for the client. You will be part of teams where collaboration between specializations matters: listening to different perspectives, taking responsibility for the outcome and building solutions together. This approach aligns with the way we work: respecting every voice, thinking big, honoring commitments and winning as a team.
•Hybrid model in Barcelona, combining flexibility and in-person collaboration.
•Learning paths, technical training, certifications, and development of business and leadership skills.
•Initiatives focused on well-being, flexibility and work-life balance.
•An international environment where you can grow alongside professionals experienced in business, technology and insurance transformation.
