SOPHiA GENETICS

Strategic Account Manager / Customer Success Manager (France)

In short

Field-based Account Manager role managing laboratory customer relationships across the UK, Nordics and Benelux for a genomics/oncology diagnostics technology company, based in France with remote/home-office work and travel across the territory. The role covers growing existing accounts, overseeing customer onboarding into routine use, retaining customers through contract and tender renewals, and driving revenue via expansion and pricing negotiations. Requires at least 5 years in sales or account management plus 3+ years' knowledge of complex genomics, next-generation sequencing or oncology workflows, along with experience in healthcare procurement and tender processes.

About the Role
Do you bring a background in complex sales and a strong understanding of genomics, next-generation sequencing or oncology workflows? Have you grown existing laboratory accounts by identifying new applications, building stakeholder relationships and navigating procurement? If this sounds like you and you are driven by purpose, join the SOPHiA GENETICS team as an Account Manager and enable us to make a positive impact on the outcomes for cancer and rare disease patients worldwide.
This is a field-based role, working within the role's territory. You will spend your time working from a home office or travelling across your territory for customer meetings, conferences and events. You will be based in France, and able to travel throughout the territory.
We believe there is a smarter, more data-driven way to make decisions in healthcare and our cloud-native AI powered SOPHiA DDM Platform makes that vision a reality on a daily basis. You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.
Responsibilities
Your primary mission is to build and maintain strong customer relationships across the UK, Nordics and Benelux, understanding each laboratory's needs and supporting their continued use of our technology. You'll partner with sales colleagues who win new customers, then take ownership of the relationship from contract signature through implementation and routine use, with a focus on customer retention and contract continuity. Your secondary objective is to drive commercial and revenue growth within those accounts, identifying opportunities for additional applications and broader adoption based on customer needs.
The value you add:
•Grow existing accounts by mapping laboratory workflows and stakeholders, visiting customers and turning unmet needs into adoption of additional applications.
•Bring newly signed customers into routine use, overseeing their journey alongside implementation specialists who lead the technical implementation.
•Retain customers and maintain contract continuity by anticipating procurement timelines and managing contract and tender renewals.
•Deliver revenue growth through expansion and pricing negotiations, including annual price increases with procurement teams.
•Build key opinion leader relationships and customer networks that support adoption of new panels and applications, coordinating with sales colleagues on opportunities across the region.
Requirements
•At least 5 years' experience in sales or customer account management, with a track record of proactively growing existing accounts rather than solely administering them.
•A minimum of 3 years working knowledge of complex genomics, next-generation sequencing or oncology workflows. You'll need enough depth to explain our products, ask informed questions about a laboratory's needs and bring in the right internal specialists.
•The ability to map complex accounts, develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and turn those insights into expansion opportunities.
•Experience navigating laboratory or healthcare procurement and tender processes, including contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
•A proactive approach to customer engagement, with the ability to prioritise activity according to its commercial impact.
Conditions
You will be joining an organization with the patient at the heart of every decision and action, driven by purpose as we pursue exponential growth.
