About the role
AVIV Group runs some of Europe's best-known real estate platforms, and every one of them depends on trust: people need to find a home or a tenant, not a scam or a dead listing. Trust & Safety exists to protect that experience, and our north star is the share of leads that flow from good visitors to good listings. As a Senior Product Analyst in Trust & Safety, you'll help keep our platforms safe and trustworthy for the people using them.
Responsibilities
•Investigate granular behavioural data to detect bad actor patterns, and propose and improve moderation systems with data-based recommendations that intercept them while prioritising good users
•Design, prototype and validate methodologies for user trust levels and risk scoring
•Quantify the business impact of non-compliant behaviour, translating safety risks into clear metrics and decisions
•Partner with software engineers, data scientists and product managers to build and test prototypes and ship solutions quickly
•Design and refine data flows, metrics and features used in Trust & Safety analytics and across AVIV products
•Explain complex analytical concepts in simple, practical terms to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
•Proven track record of experience (min. 5 years) as a Product Analyst or Data Scientist, ideally with a background in the Trust and Safety or Customer behavior and Risks teams
•Advanced SQL and strong Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, visualisation libraries)
•Hands-on experience designing and analysing A/B tests, and applying causal inference methods
•Solid statistical foundations, with the intuition to know when to use the median over the mean, how to spot selection bias, and when to optimise for precision vs. recall
•A good understanding of machine learning concepts, including how classification models work and how to judge their performance (e.g. precision, recall, false positives)
•Proven ability to turn abstract user behaviour into robust, sensitive metrics and signals
•Experience building dashboards in Tableau or Looker
•A strong sense of ownership: you drive your own scope, take initiative and don't wait for step-by-step direction
•The ability to zoom out to business impact and zoom in to debug raw data without losing context
•Genuine curiosity: you question specifications, ask "why?" and "what if?", and pivot quickly when an idea isn't worth pursuing
•You enjoy detective work, unravelling complex behavioural patterns and hidden anomalies
•Clear, proactive communication and strong stakeholder management
