Responsibilities
•Define the structural architecture (wing, fuselage, tail, landing gear, engine and payload interfaces)
•Establish load cases together with the design engineer (flight, landing, handling, transport)
•Perform static, fatigue and damage tolerance sizing
•Write justification files and calculation notes
•Select materials and processes together with production (composites, machining, additive manufacturing)
•Define and follow up structural tests
•Support production
Profile and requirements
•Engineering degree in mechanics or aeronautics
•Minimum 5 years of experience in aeronautical structure calculation or design
•Mastery of composites and associated failure criteria
•Proficiency with a CAD software (CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE or SolidWorks)
•Rigor in justification and traceability
Nice to have: experience with drones or light aircraft, topology optimization, structural testing.
