What You'll Be Doing
•Drive operational excellence across billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and service performance.
•Define, manage, and report operational objectives, service metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Vendor Operations, Sales, Support, and Data teams to improve billing outcomes.
•Champion automation, observability, and proactive issue detection across billing services.
•Translate operational insights into data-driven enhancement opportunities and product recommendations.
•Maintain a prioritised backlog of improvements, defects, and optimisation initiatives.
•Lead operational escalation and forensic analysis when billing issues arise, ensuring rapid resolution and business continuity.
•Facilitate cross-functional workshops, retrospectives, and solution discovery sessions focused on operational improvement.
•Communicate performance trends, risks, opportunities, and roadmap progress to stakeholders and leadership.
•Continuously evaluate processes and guide trade-off decisions that maximise customer, partner, and business value.

What Success Looks Like
We're looking for someone who brings:
•Proven expertise working with billing, invoicing, financial systems, or revenue operations environments.
•Demonstrated understanding of SaaS billing models, subscription commerce, payments, taxation, and reconciliation processes.
•Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to investigate complex operational issues and identify root causes.
•Experience working with platforms such as payment processors, tax engines, and accounting solutions.
•Strong experience in SQL.
•Working knowledge of SQL and data-driven decision making.
•Strong experience collaborating within Agile product and engineering environments.
•Proven ability to influence stakeholders and align multiple teams around shared objectives.
•Excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills.
•A naturally curious mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
•Strong customer and partner empathy with a desire to solve meaningful business problems.
