About the role
Our business area, SMRA (Special Mission & Regional Aircraft), is growing and we need to strengthen our team with engineers in integration of communication and mission-specific systems for GlobalEye - a product with world-leading sensors for reconnaissance and surveillance.
SMRA's operations involve developing and maintaining our platforms GlobalEye, Saab2000AEW&C, Saab 340 AEW and Saab340/2000. The organization has the character of a small company within the big one, with short decision paths, closeness to products, and close collaboration between all technical areas. This provides unique insight into and understanding of the whole product and its capability.
As a systems engineer in the communication team, you get a central role where you develop deep technical understanding of the product and contribute through tasks such as:
•Producing design documentation for system description and aircraft modification
•Issuing and participating in execution of test procedures
•Managing requirements from customers and authorities
•Reviewing and giving input on flight and maintenance manuals
•Qualifying devices for airworthiness
•Collaborating with flight test
•Certification of the final product
•Working closely with Purchasing towards national as well as international suppliers
The work takes place in close collaboration with adjacent technical areas and organizations. You are part of large platform projects as well as part of the support for the aftermarket and maintenance of delivered systems. You also have international contacts through both digital and physical meetings, for example with system and aircraft suppliers. Business travel occurs.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with experience of:

•A strong interest in problem solving and technology, with a technical education or equivalent experience
•Previous knowledge and experience from systems development work, technical leadership and/or project work is strongly advantageous
•Work within the aviation industry is strongly advantageous
A well-functioning team consists of different personalities, experiences and competencies where collaboration is key. Great weight is therefore placed on your personality and ability to collaborate. We are looking for someone who is humble, responsive and appreciates close collaboration. You have the ability to build relationships and contribute to the team's success through your knowledge and flexibility. You thrive in a dynamic environment where collaboration and networking are in focus, and where communication is simple and direct.
