Sr. Data Architect
Senior Snowflake Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale cloud data platform solutions for global clients. This role combines deep technical ownership of the Snowflake platform with client-facing leadership — driving data modernization, AI/ML enablement, and platform adoption across client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
•Design and own end-to-end data architecture on Snowflake (databases, schemas, warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks) across AWS/Azure/GCP
•Lead client discovery, solutioning, and technical presentations to translate business requirements into scalable Snowflake architectures
•Architect data pipelines for batch and near-real-time ingestion (Snowpipe, Snowpipe Streaming, external stages, CDC integration)
•Define standards for data governance, security, and access control using Snowflake-native features (RBAC, row/column-level security, masking policies, Horizon governance)
•Guide advanced platform capabilities — Snowpark (Python/Java/Scala), Cortex AI/ML functions, and Snowflake Native Apps
•Partner with client stakeholders to define migration strategy from legacy warehouses/on-prem platforms to Snowflake
•Own performance tuning, warehouse sizing, and cost governance (credit optimization, resource monitors, query profiling)
•Mentor engineering teams on Snowflake best practices; act as technical escalation point for client engagements
•Support pre-sales, solutioning, and RFP responses with Snowflake-specific architecture and effort estimation
Required Qualifications
•Experience in data engineering/architecture, with hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments
•Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling (dimensional/Data Vault), and Snowflake architecture patterns
•Experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Snowflake's native integrations on that platform
•Proven track record of client-facing delivery — workshops, architecture reviews, executive presentations
•Experience with ELT tools and orchestration (dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, Matillion) alongside Snowflake
•SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect certification
•Experience with data sharing/data marketplace and multi-cloud replication on Snowflake
•Exposure to GenAI/LLM workloads (Cortex Search, RAG pipelines) on Snowflake
•Consulting or systems integrator background with multi-client delivery experience
