Company
Altegio is a platform for service businesses to manage schedules, clients, staff, payments, and online bookings, processing thousands of bookings per minute across Brazil and Europe.
What you will do
•Own full-stack tasks end to end, clarifying requirements with the CTO and product team, exploring code and data, and selecting solutions without detailed specifications.
•Influence product decisions by analyzing user journeys and feedback while balancing UX, consistency, and implementation costs.
•Define acceptance criteria, testing and rollback plans, automated tests, and coverage for key and edge cases.
•Build and safely modify features across the UI, backend, and database, shipping small merge requests behind feature flags.
•Delegate work to coding agents, provide context, and verify generated code, tests, and results.
•Review colleagues' changes and improve shared skills, agent workflows, and automated checks; upcoming areas include a public API, MCP server, marketplace, plugins, embeddable modules, and payments.
Requirements
•3–6 years of commercial development experience.
•Commercial experience with PHP and Vue, React, or a similar frontend framework.
•Hands-on experience using coding agents in real-world projects.
•Strong fundamentals in transactions and concurrency, idempotency, time zones, access control and data ownership, N+1 queries, and tables containing millions of rows; these topics are assessed during the technical interview.
•Ability to identify risks, flag blockers, and propose solutions.
•English proficiency at B1 level or above.
Nice to have
•Experience with payments, webhooks, OAuth, and public APIs.
•Experience with high-load systems and MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, or ClickHouse.
•Hands-on experience with Sentry, Grafana, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and gradual rollouts.
•Experience building custom skills, coding agents, or MCP servers used by a team.
Culture & Benefits
•Fully remote work.
•Competitive, market-aligned compensation.
•Product-scale engineering with high traffic, a large customer base, and complex business logic.
•Real ownership, minimal bureaucracy, direct interaction with C-level leadership, and involvement in product decisions.
•Code reviews, knowledge sharing, and open technical discussions.
•Choice of equipment: MacBook, Mac mini, Lenovo, or Dell.
Hiring process
•Recruiter screening lasting 30 minutes.
•Technical interview in two parts: review an engineering solution and a small full-stack pull request without AI, then solve a task with a preferred coding agent and discuss the workflow and validation process.
•Product deep dive and leadership meeting involving an ambiguous problem and discussion of decision-making.
