About the Team
Kaspersky's Global Research & Analysis Team (GReAT) researches and analyzes APTs, cyber-espionage campaigns, malware, ransomware, and underground cyber-criminal trends worldwide. Its 40+ experts provide leadership in anti-malware research and innovation.
Responsibilities
•Monitor, analyze, and understand malware trends at local, regional, and global levels
•Analyze and describe ongoing APT and crimeware campaigns worldwide
•Enhance Kaspersky's Threat Intelligence products
•Present on IT security to broad audiences, including the cybersecurity community, customers, and journalists
•Give interviews about cybersecurity trends and topics
•Suggest ideas for implementation in company products
•Imagine and develop prototypes or new technologies
•Contribute to requirements for Kaspersky's internal infrastructure
•Help develop the unit's recommended practices and standards, and take responsibility for accomplishing group goals
•Ensure proper information security, including on devices used to work with company infrastructure
Requirements
•Ability to analyze and understand malicious code, including Windows PE, .Net, OLE2, JS, VBS, HTML, PDF, SWF, and ELF
•Good knowledge of Intel x86 assembler
•Ability to use IDA or Ghidra for reverse engineering
•Good knowledge of WinAPI
•Basic knowledge of Linux API, kernel, and POSIX
•Excellent knowledge of the Windows PE file format
•Good experience with at least one of C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, or Rust
•Knowledge of TCP/IP socket operating principles
•Good written and spoken technical English
•Technical article writing skills
•Understanding of the modern threat landscape and the Threat Intelligence industry
Will be a plus: Knowledge of Kaspersky Lab products
