Base pay
$23.00–$31.75 per hour, with possible shift and/or skill pay differential.

What you will do
•Assess and analyze work environments, identify workplace hazards, and recommend measures to eliminate or control injury risks.
•Conduct facility inspections and walkthroughs to verify compliance with health and safety regulations and the availability of fire prevention, safety, and first-aid equipment.
•Investigate incidents, accidents, injuries, and conditions affecting employee health, comfort, or performance; document causes, corrective actions, and follow-ups.
•Assist with safety training and education for employees and supervisors, including programs required by regulation or identified by management and safety committees.
•Maintain emergency, crisis management, preparedness, safety, Medical Response Team, Safety Committee, PDC Safety, and HazMat Team programs.
•Maintain safety documentation and databases, promote safety policies, and recommend improvements to facilities, machinery, equipment, materials, and personal protective equipment.
Requirements
•3+ years of experience in a similar or equivalent role.
•OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification; OSHA certification may be obtained while in the role.
•Ability to learn DigiKey's functions, internal coordination, industry context, and impact and responsibility within the local community; this knowledge may be acquired in the role.
•Strong representation of the DigiKey brand and its principles.
•Ability to spend 8–10 hours walking or standing on concrete, twist or bend, occasionally climb stairs, and reach above shoulder level.
•Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the hands, head, and other parts of the body.
•Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
•Experience with HSI and Microsoft Suite.
