About the Role
BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing iGaming business investing heavily in the quality and reliability of its software delivery, and we're looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join their team. This is a chance to take real ownership of test automation strategy within a modern, high-traffic platform, working closely with development and product teams to embed quality throughout the delivery pipeline.
Responsibilities
•Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, API and performance testing across web and mobile
•Build and improve automation frameworks using modern tools and best practices
•Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions primary)
•Develop and execute automated API tests (Postman, RestAssured or similar)
•Design and run load/performance tests using k6
•Log and track defects in Jira, working with developers to reproduce and verify fixes
•Champion automation best practice and mentor team members on tooling and methodology
Requirements
•3+ years' hands-on experience in test automation engineering
•Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
•Hands-on experience with Playwright as primary framework
•Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL API testing
•Experience integrating automation into CI/CD, ideally GitHub Actions
•Familiarity with performance testing tools, ideally k6
•Solid grounding in testing methodologies, SDLC and Agile practices
•Experience with Jira, Zephyr or TestRail
Nice to Have
•Python, Java or C# a plus
•Selenium, Cypress or Appium a plus
•Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) is highly desirable
•Exposure to gaming platforms, high-traffic or real-time systems, Docker, or BDD frameworks (Cucumber/SpecFlow) advantageous
