IRIS

Marketing Executive

In short

IRIS Software Group, a large UK software company serving HR, payroll and accountancy clients, is hiring a Marketing Advisor to support B2B demand marketing campaigns for its Human Capital Management solutions. The role covers coordinating campaigns across email, webinars, events, digital and content, tracking performance, and working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Digital and Customer Success teams. It requires some hands-on marketing experience (campaigns, events, email, webinars or digital) plus strong organisation, data and communication skills; CRM/marketing platform familiarity (Salesforce, Marketo) is a plus. The role is remote within the UK, with occasional travel for team meetings.

About the Role
IRIS Software Group is one of the UK's largest privately held software companies, trusted by 100,000+ businesses, schools and accountancy firms to keep their operations running. Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms. We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.
At IRIS Software Group, we create software that helps organisations manage important areas of working life, including HR, payroll and recruitment. We're looking for a Marketing Advisor, Demand to help plan, coordinate and deliver B2B marketing campaigns for our Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This is a hands-on marketing role covering campaigns, email, webinars, events, content, digital activity and reporting. You'll help turn marketing plans into activity, work with teams across IRIS and use campaign results to understand what's working.
You'll support campaigns aimed at HR, Payroll, Finance and Recruitment professionals, helping us promote software that organisations rely on every day. From an email campaign or webinar through to an event or digital campaign, you'll help keep activity organised, accurate and moving – while tracking the results and helping us learn what works.
You'll join our HCM Demand Marketing team, working with colleagues across Demand Marketing, Product Marketing, Digital, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing Operations, as well as external agencies and partners.
The team is spread across the UK, so this role can be remote, with occasional travel for team meetings. Being within reach of Manchester or Slough would be useful, but isn't essential.
Responsibilities
You'll support marketing activity from planning through to delivery and results. That will include:
•Supporting integrated B2B marketing campaigns across our HCM products and audiences
•Helping set up, schedule and coordinate campaigns across email, digital, paid media, social, content and partner marketing
•Supporting webinars and events, including registration, promotion, attendee information, follow-up and reporting
•Coordinating copy, creative assets, briefs and approvals with colleagues and external partners
•Helping create and distribute emails, landing pages, social content and campaign materials
•Working with Sales, Product Marketing, Digital and Customer Success to gather information and keep campaigns progressing
•Maintaining campaign plans, calendars, briefs and trackers so deadlines and actions are clear
•Building your understanding of our customers and helping ensure campaigns reach the right audiences with relevant messages
•Gathering and checking campaign data and maintaining dashboards and reports
•Tracking results such as email engagement, webinar attendance, campaign responses, leads and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
•Producing simple summaries of what happened, what performed well and what we could improve next time
•Contributing ideas to improve campaigns, processes and how the team works
There'll be plenty of variety. One week you could be coordinating a webinar and its email journey; the next you might be supporting a digital campaign, reviewing lead data or helping prepare content for a new campaign.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who already has some practical marketing experience and is ready to take on broader campaign responsibility.
•Experience working in marketing, campaigns, events, communications or a related role
•Some hands-on experience with email campaigns, webinars, events, content or digital marketing
•Good organisation skills and confidence managing several activities and deadlines at once
•An interest in B2B marketing, demand generation and campaign performance
•Confidence working with data and understanding basic marketing results
•Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•The ability to work with different teams and keep people updated
•A proactive approach, with confidence taking ownership of your work
•Good attention to detail and a focus on delivering accurate work on time
Nice to have
•Experience within B2B marketing, SaaS, software or technology
•Experience marketing to HR, Payroll or Recruitment audiences
•Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo or similar CRM and marketing platforms
•Experience using Canva, project management or campaign planning tools
•A Marketing, Business, Communications or related qualification
You don't need to tick every box. We're interested in people who have a good marketing foundation and want to continue building their expertise.
What We Offer
This is an opportunity to move beyond supporting just one area of marketing and gain experience across the full campaign journey. You'll get hands-on exposure to B2B campaigns, email, digital marketing, webinars, events, content, CRM and performance reporting, while learning from experienced marketing specialists.
You'll also join at an interesting time for the profession. AI, search and changing buyer behaviour are reshaping how people discover and choose software, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas as our approach develops.
This is a role where you can take ownership, build your expertise and gradually increase your responsibility as you develop.
