About the project
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Java) who will take on the role of technical leader of a team of 5-7 developers. The project is carried out in an enterprise environment, using modern cloud-native architecture and engineering practices that support high quality and availability of solutions.
This person will be responsible for the technical direction of the team, will support the development of programmers and will cooperate with the Product and Engineering areas in delivering scalable business solutions.
Hybrid work model: 25% of work time in the client's office in Scotland.
Your tasks
•Technical leadership of a team of 5-7 developers.
•Making architectural and technological decisions.
•Responsibility for the quality of the delivered solution and software development standards.
•Cooperation with Product and Engineering teams in planning and executing initiatives.
•Mentoring, substantive support and development of team members.
•Ensuring the delivery of best engineering practices such as Code Review, Pair Programming, TDD, BDD and CI/CD.
•Supporting the construction of secure and highly available systems in a cloud environment.
Who we are looking for
•Minimum 7 years of commercial experience in software development.
•Experience as a Lead Software Engineer, Tech Lead or Engineering Lead.
•Experience leading teams working in Agile methodologies.
•Experience collaborating with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
•Experience working with systems and solutions architects.
•Ability to advocate for your technical recommendations and support business decision-making.
•Experience developing and evolving enterprise solutions with high availability and scalability.
•Experience in mentoring and developing programmers' competencies.
•Fluent communication in Polish and English (minimum level B2).

What we offer
•Hybrid work model: 25% of work time carried out at the client's office in Scotland, with the method of organizing onsite work being flexible and agreed jointly with the client. On-site presence can be organized in a regular model or in the form of concentrated trips, provided an average level of about 25% of work time on site is maintained. The rest of the work is carried out remotely from Poland, the United Kingdom or another EU country.
