About the project
At Onwelo we are continuously growing our engineering teams and dynamically responding to our partners' needs. We are looking for a Scala Data Engineer, an independent specialist who will be responsible for the maintenance and stable operation of the platform, as well as working with existing code and its further development.
The project concerns an existing Customer Data Platform (CDP), built in Scala and running on Databricks and Kafka/Confluent.
Your tasks
•Maintenance and ensuring stable operation of the data platform
•Working with existing code written in Scala
•Analysis, development and optimization of existing solutions
•Working with data and processes using Apache Spark
•Collaboration with solutions based on Databricks and Kafka/Confluent
•Independently diagnosing and solving technical problems
•Taking over knowledge of the system and ensuring continuity of its operation
Who we are looking for
•Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Scala, in a production environment
•Very good knowledge of Scala, including version 2.13
•Experience working with Apache Spark
•Knowledge of Databricks – will be a big advantage
•Experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent
•Ability to work independently with existing codebase, also with limited documentation
•Good knowledge of English (project communication is conducted in English)
