About the Role
You will lead enhanced due diligence reviews for institutional and high-risk clients. You will assess financial crime risks, document approval and escalation decisions, support onboarding teams with complex cases, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with Compliance and Financial Crime stakeholders.
Requirements
•4 to 8 years of financial crime or KYC experience in financial services
•Hands-on experience with EDD and complex client due diligence
•Knowledge of UK AML regulation and JMLSG guidance
•Experience conducting EDD for institutional, professional, or high-risk clients
•Experience with complex ownership structures, source of wealth and funds, PEP, and sanctions cases
•Ability to make well-documented risk decisions
•Comfort working from the London office at least three days per week
Responsibilities
•Lead enhanced due diligence reviews and approvals for Prime and high-risk clients
•Assess source of wealth, source of funds, ownership, PEP, sanctions, and adverse-media risk
•Document approval and escalation decisions
•Complete proportionate and evidence-based due diligence promptly
•Provide risk judgement on complex and borderline cases
•Escalate cases with recommended risk treatment
•Advise onboarding teams on complex due diligence questions
•Identify case-work themes to improve processes, training, and controls
•Contribute to quality oversight and assurance activities
•Build relationships with onboarding, Compliance, and Financial Crime stakeholders
