Voodoo creates mobile games and apps to entertain people worldwide. Its portfolio includes games such as Mob Control and Block Jam, and apps such as BeReal and Wizz. The Engineering & Data team builds technology products and platforms supporting the growth of its gaming and consumer apps.
Responsibilities
•Take ownership of product modeling pipelines
•Improve modeling performance through ideas and initiatives
•Build and deploy scalable ML systems
•Collaborate with colleagues, product managers, teammates, and stakeholders across the company
•Analyze data to discover relevant insights
•Develop an understanding of the mobile gaming industry, company strategy, products, and their role in daily operations
•Mentor and guide data scientists, fostering technical excellence and autonomy
•Establish and enforce best practices in ML engineering, experimentation, and reproducibility
•Promote impact-driven research and ensure models create tangible business value
•Identify risks in modeling approaches, data quality, scalability, and business alignment, and design mitigation strategies
Requirements
•Extensive experience building machine learning systems
•Extensive experience with Python, SQL, and MLOps best practices
•Cloud experience; AWS is preferred, but other cloud providers are acceptable
•Excellent communication skills in English and French
•Enjoy working in a team, learning, and sharing knowledge
Nice to have: Airflow, DBT, experience in a tech startup or scaleup, strong Kaggle achievements
