Responsibilities
•Design, own, and govern data models across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of a modern Medallion Architecture
•Define and enforce data modelling standards, including Star Schema, Data Vault, and hybrid approaches where appropriate
•Lead the design of scalable semantic and Gold-layer models supporting BI, analytics, and product-driven use cases
•Evaluate and implement best-practice data modelling patterns in DBT to ensure maintainability, reusability, and scalability
•Own entity relationship modelling and ensure consistency of core business entities across the data platform
•Create and maintain data architecture blueprints, platform documentation, and end-to-end data flow diagrams
•Establish and drive data governance standards, including naming conventions, data classification, metadata management, and lineage
•Partner with engineering teams to ensure architectural decisions are practical, efficient, and aligned with business goals
•Assess new data sources and define optimal ingestion, transformation, and modelling strategies
•Champion data quality initiatives and act as a key reviewer for major platform and data model changes
•Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, BI teams, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to understand data consumption needs
•Translate complex business requirements into robust and scalable data models
•Present architectural decisions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
•Mentor and guide engineers on data architecture and modelling best practices
•Ensure data models accurately represent real-world business processes across operational systems such as CRM, payment processing, access control, and analytics platforms
Requirements
•6+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related data platform roles
•Strong expertise in data modelling, dimensional modelling, and modern data warehousing concepts
•Hands-on experience with Databricks, DBT, Azure, SQL, Python, and GitHub
•Proven experience designing scalable data platforms and analytics architectures
•Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture and best practices for data lakehouse environments
•Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks
•Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions
•Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
•Experience mentoring engineers and driving architectural standards across teams
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to decision-making
•Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher
