Legora

Content Designer

In short

Legora, an AI-native legal tech company, is hiring its first Content Designer to own the verbal layer of its AI product used by lawyers. The role covers product voice, conversational and agentic UX writing, naming/terminology, content standards for design systems, and turning judgment into instructions and evals that AI agents can follow. It requires extensive content design/UX writing experience on complex, high-stakes software, experience with conversational or AI-driven experiences, systems thinking, and comfort working in code with docs-as-code and agent skill files.

About Legora
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world's best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We've scaled to $200M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler. We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things:
•We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
•We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
•We grow together: as a team and with our customers.
Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you're driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.
At Legora, we're building the category-defining AI product for legal work. Our users are lawyers. They read for a living and they notice every word. In an agentic product, words are most of the interface. Whether lawyers trust the product depends on getting that language right.
As our first Content Designer, you will own the verbal layer of Legora. You will set the standards and encode them into our design system and the judgment tools our designers and agents draw on. This is a hands-on senior role. You will build the content design practice at Legora, working directly with product designers, PMs, engineers, legal engineers and our brand team. This position can be based in Stockholm, NYC, or London.
Tasks
•Define Legora's product voice and the principles behind it.
•Design conversational and agentic experiences end to end: instructions, confirmations, progress updates, interruptions, handoffs, and how agents communicate results, sources and uncertainty.
•Own naming and terminology across the product. Decide what things are called and keep the vocabulary consistent.
•Write and shape in-product content with product designers on our highest-stakes surfaces.
•Build content standards into how we work: design system guidelines, rules that automated PR checks can enforce, and guidance designers and agents can use on demand.
•Make our agents into exceptional writers. Turn your judgment into instructions, examples and evals that coding and design agents follow, so on-voice copy is produced automatically and your time goes to the cases that need a human.
•Partner with Brand and Product Marketing so the product sounds like the company that makes it.
•Audit existing experiences and use customer feedback and product data to find where language is failing users.
Requirements
•Extensive experience as a content designer or UX writer on complex, high-stakes software products.
•You have designed conversational or AI-driven experiences.
•Exceptional writing and editing, combined with systems thinking: you see the patterns behind individual strings and build the frameworks that keep them consistent at scale.
•Comfortable in ambiguity and in a domain where you are not the expert. You know how to extract the right vocabulary from lawyers and legal engineers and make it usable.
•Fluent in how modern product teams build. You use AI tools in your own workflow.
•Experience working in code, comfort with docs-as-code, and writing and owning agent skill files.
•You make the case for content decisions with evidence and get product, engineering and leadership behind them.
•Experience managing high demand work flow from cross-functional teams, ability to project manage and set expectations for your own deliverables.
