About the Company
Greywood LLC is an accounting and consulting firm in Yerevan serving around 80 client companies in hospitality, technology, trade, manufacturing and the nonprofit sector, including international organizations and EU-funded projects. Through our US partner firm, Greywood CPA, our team also gets exposure to international accounting and audit work.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of a portfolio of client companies. You'll be the main accounting contact for these clients, responsible for the accuracy of their books, tax compliance and financial reporting. You'll also review the work of middle and junior accountants and help build the firm's internal standards.
Responsibilities
•Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of client companies, from primary documents to financial statements
•Run month-end and year-end close, including accruals, deferrals, depreciation and provisions
•Prepare annual financial statements under IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
•Prepare management reports (P&L, cash flow, budget vs. actual) on client request
•Reconcile bank accounts, counterparties, intercompany balances and loans
•Prepare and file VAT, profit tax, income tax, turnover tax and other returns through the SRC electronic system
•Make sure tax filings and payments are on time and correct for all assigned clients
•Advise clients on tax treatment of transactions, tax regimes and changes in legislation
•Support clients during SRC inspections and respond to tax authority inquiries
•Oversee payroll calculation, including salaries, bonuses, vacation and sick pay, and terminations
•Handle employment contracts and orders together with clients' HR, and personalized income tax reporting
•Review the work of middle and junior accountants and give constructive feedback
•Help onboard and train new team members
•Help develop internal procedures, checklists and templates
•Communicate directly with client owners, directors and finance teams
•Support external audits by preparing schedules, explanations and supporting documents
•Take part in advisory projects such as accounting setup, process improvement, grant cost reporting and due diligence
Requirements
•At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in Armenia
•Experience in an accounting, audit or consulting firm, or as chief accountant of a mid-sized company
•In-depth knowledge of the RA Tax Code, accounting legislation and labor legislation
•Solid practical knowledge of IFRS
•Confident use of ArmSoft and/or 1C, plus the SRC e-filing system
•Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
•Fluent Armenian; good Russian and English, both written and spoken
•Higher education in accounting, finance or economics
•Strong ownership and responsibility for results

•Able to manage several clients and deadlines at once
•Clear, professional communication with clients
•Proactive in raising issues and proposing solutions
Nice to Have
•ACCA, CIPA, Certified Accountant of RA, or similar qualification (completed or in progress)
•Experience with VAT-heavy businesses, import/export operations or foreign-owned companies
•Experience with grant-funded or NGO accounting
•Experience leading or mentoring a team
