In this position you are part of the Legal & Compliance team at Marsh. You support Marsh in Germany on all legal issues and advise on compliance projects. Your tasks:
•Advising on and developing solutions for all classic legal issues of a globally active insurance broker and risk advisor, in close cooperation with the business
•Review, drafting and negotiation of local and international contracts
•Review and handling of liability cases in cooperation and coordination with external lawyers
•Project work on Legal & Compliance topics, including data protection
•Analysis of (regulatory) legal frameworks and preparation of suitable and practicable recommendations for action
•You operate in an international environment and contribute closely to European projects of the Legal Compliance and Public Affairs department
•The focus of legal advice is particularly in the areas of insurance and insurance supervisory law, contract law, data protection, and general civil law
What you bring:
•A completed law degree with at least two "befriedigend" (satisfactory) state examinations
•Initial professional experience in an insurance or brokerage company, a law firm, or the legal department of an internationally operating company, with knowledge in the field of insurance and insurance supervisory law
•Quick comprehension and a solution-oriented, precise way of working
•Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as negotiation skills
•Interest in the consulting and insurance industry
•Enjoyment of legal work and dealing with clients and colleagues in an international environment
•Strong communication and negotiation skills in German and English
•A strong interest in digitalization and AI
