You will work closely with product development, production, project management and suppliers to ensure that new products can be manufactured efficiently, safely and with high quality.
Your role
As a design engineer within industrialization and production engineering, you will be a key person in the development of Saab Dynamics' production capability.
You will work on developing fixtures, auxiliary tools and production equipment, as well as identifying and implementing improvements in methods and working practices. The role involves significant personal responsibility and offers the opportunity to influence technical choices in both new and existing projects.
Among other things, you will:
•Develop tools, fixtures and production equipment.
•Ensure manufacturability early in development projects.
•Participate in the industrialization of new products.
•Review design documentation from a manufacturing and assembly perspective.
•Collaborate with design engineering, production, project management and suppliers.
•Participate in improvement initiatives within production and production development.
•Contribute technical expertise in manufacturing and production solutions.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and experience in design engineering work. You have the ability to develop design solutions throughout the entire product development process, from early concept studies to finished product, in both new and ongoing projects.
As a person, you are driven, communicative and enjoy collaborating with others. You take responsibility for your tasks, have a solution-oriented way of working, and see changes and new challenges as opportunities. The role requires you to be able to handle several parallel activities while working in a structured and meticulous manner with high quality in deliveries.
To fit into this role with us, we see that you have:
•Experience in mechanical design, tool design, industrialization or production technical development work.
•Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent.
•Good insight into and experience of production and production processes.
•Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
•Technical education at university or engineering degree level with a focus on mechanical engineering, or other post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience.
•Knowledge of composite technology.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security protection regulations in force at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements regarding specific citizenship.
