You will be part of the Mission Support Equipment area, which develops ground-based support systems for Gripen. These systems are central to the tactical loop to ensure high availability and operational effectiveness.
More specifically, the role is within an advanced system for planning and evaluation of flight missions, Mission Support System. The main users are Pilots and Mission Support Officers.
Your role
As a UX designer with us, you will work in close collaboration with architects and developers as well as product management and other UX designers. This means your everyday work will include everything from minute operational decisions to very long-term strategic questions, so it's important that you can move freely between the different levels. Furthermore, you will continuously assess partly abstract requirements with quality attributes such as simplicity, flexibility, stability, maintainability and reusability. Naturally, there is ongoing contact with requirement setters throughout the project, and there is often the opportunity to quickly get the requirement setter's view on a technical solution.
The role as UX designer with us involves:
•Creating prototypes and concepts
•Supporting various stakeholders in projects with UX expertise
•Collaboration within various UX forums across the area and department
•Maintenance and development of UX guidelines
•Testing usability with representative users

Your profile
As a person, you are positive, outgoing, driven, results-oriented and a distinct team player. In your background you have an education in digital design, interaction design or UX from a university/college.
To thrive in the role as UX designer, we believe you have:
•Experience working according to traditional design processes as well as adapting and developing them according to the business
•Experience working fluently in Figma
•Experience working with user studies, analyzing and defining user needs, concept development, designing solutions, prototypes and user testing
•Experience with implementation and maintenance of complex technical systems
•Experience with customer contacts
You are confident in your profession, in presenting and explaining technical solutions. You like working in teams and collaborating with others. You see handling new issues and environments as a natural part of the job, and you choose simple and effective solutions. You are open to trying new technology areas and want to develop both personally and professionally — it is your own curiosity and will that set the limits!
The position requires that you undergo and pass review according to the regulations on security protection applicable at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements on security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements on certain citizenship.
