Job Description
We are looking for a professional with extensive life insurance underwriting experience, responsible for new contract underwriting review, risk assessment, and handling complex cases, ensuring underwriting quality and risk control. This role also works closely with business channels and cross-departmental teams to provide professional underwriting consultation, and participates in underwriting process optimization and digitalization projects to continuously improve operational efficiency and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
•Underwriting Review and Risk Assessment: Responsible for reviewing new life insurance contract underwriting cases, including medical, financial, and other related risk assessments, making professional judgments based on company underwriting guidelines and authorization limits.
•Complex Case Handling: Review special or high-risk cases, assess related risks, and propose appropriate underwriting recommendations to ensure underwriting quality and risk control.
•Business Channel Support: Collaborate with bancassurance, insurance brokers/agents, and other business channels to provide underwriting consultation, explanation of referral cases, and professional advice, assisting in smooth business operations.
•Cross-Department Communication and Collaboration: Work with new contracts, claims, business, and related units to coordinate underwriting issues and drive problem resolution.
•Project and Professional Support: Assist in optimizing underwriting guidelines and workflows, sharing professional knowledge, and handling department-related projects and tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
•Over 3 years of practical underwriting experience; experience with investment-linked products is a plus.
•Familiar with life insurance underwriting guidelines, medical risk assessment, and related insurance regulations.
•Possess underwriting-related professional qualifications or certifications.
•Experience supporting bancassurance, insurance brokers/agents, or other life insurance business channels is a plus.
•Good logical analysis, risk judgment, and problem-solving abilities; able to independently handle underwriting cases.
•Good communication, coordination, and cross-department collaboration skills; able to effectively explain underwriting decisions and requirements to business units.
•Proactive, meticulous, and responsible; able to effectively manage multiple tasks and case priorities while balancing risk control and service quality.
•Familiar with Microsoft Office and other office software.
Bonus Qualifications
•Experience with Automated Underwriting System (AUS), new contract operation platforms, or underwriting digitalization projects.
•Experience in underwriting process improvement, operational efficiency enhancement, or cross-department project execution.
