This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial development. •Engage directly with customers to understand their power requirements, technical challenges and future infrastructure needs.
•Develop technically and commercially appropriate solutions using technologies including MV and LV switchgear, busbar, UPS, protection and automation systems and prefabricated power solutions.
•Provide technical guidance throughout the sales process, from initial customer discussions through specification, proposal and solution development.
•Review customer specifications, RFQs and tender requirements and translate these into appropriate technical solutions.
•Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals and customer workshops.
•Work closely with engineering, product and manufacturing teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically viable and aligned with Vertiv capabilities.
•Act as a technical link between regional Sales teams and the Power Line of Business.
•Maintain an understanding of developments across the power distribution market, including new technologies, competitor solutions and changing customer requirements.
•Support opportunity and pipeline management through accurate CRM information.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
•Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
•Experience with technologies such as switchgear, busbar/busway, UPS, electrical protection, power automation or related power distribution equipment.
•Demonstrable experience developing or supporting complex electrical infrastructure solutions.
•Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate technical requirements into customer-focused solutions.
•Experience working with customers, consultants, contractors or engineering organisations.
•Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders.
•Willingness to travel across the region as required.
Nice to have
