Technical Project Manager, Industrial Facilities & Manufacturing Infrastructure

In short

This on-site Technical Project Manager role at JLL supports Amazon's Global Real Estate & Facilities account, managing construction and infrastructure projects within an active advanced manufacturing facility (aerospace, life sciences, robotics, quantum computing, devices, government sectors). It requires owning project lifecycles from scope through installation, including budgeting, RFPs, contract negotiation, and coordinating electrical/mechanical trades and heavy equipment relocation on the production floor. The company is a global real estate and facilities services firm, and the role demands 5+ years of project management experience in construction, industrial facilities, or manufacturing infrastructure, plus strong financial and contractual skills.

About the Role
As a Technical Project Manager at JLL supporting the Amazon Global Real Estate & Facilities account, you will support the delivery of construction and real estate projects. This role supports Amazon's expansion into aerospace, life sciences, robotics, quantum computing, devices, and government industry sectors by supporting new construction, renovations, and facility modifications.
You will work within an active advanced manufacturing facility, managing the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects that directly support production operations. You will own project lifecycles—from scope definition through procurement, bidding, and installation—working daily on the production floor and coordinating directly with contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors.
This role calls for strong project management fundamentals, including budgeting, scheduling, RFP development, contract and change-order negotiation, and stakeholder management, combined with practical experience coordinating electrical, mechanical, and facility systems work across multiple trades. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing construction, equipment installation, and heavy equipment relocation.
Ideal candidates bring formal project management discipline to a technical, equipment-heavy manufacturing environment, with strong financial and contractual experience — not solely a facilities or maintenance background. This position offers the opportunity to build strong client relationships while delivering infrastructure solutions that keep production running smoothly. This is not a software, IT systems, cloud migration, or digital transformation role.

•Manage infrastructure modifications required to support equipment installs, including specialty utility systems, electrical systems, and HVAC
•Oversee relocation of large equipment within the facility, coordinating rigging, anchoring, and utility reconnection
•Manage build-out and demolition of rooms (e.g., storage rooms, cleanrooms, production support spaces)
•Coordinate electrical scope across projects, working directly with electrical contractors and engineers
•Serve as the primary point of contact between production teams, engineering, and external contractors/vendors
•Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across production, facilities, and engineering functions
•Source, evaluate, and hire contractors and specialty trade teams for infrastructure and construction projects
•Manage contractor performance, permitting, and compliance throughout project execution
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
