Responsibilities
•Advise Product, Business, and Legal teams on tax implications for product launches, restructurings, and international expansion
•Design scalable tax processes, workflows, and controls
•Lead external tax audits, act as the primary contact for German tax authorities, and manage relationships with external tax advisors
•Oversee accurate and timely German CIT, VAT, and WHT filings
•Translate tax legislation into actionable advice for stakeholders across Product, Legal, Marketing, and Accounting
•Identify tax efficiencies, drive automation, and refine internal tools, including Workday as ERP
Requirements
•Hold mandatory official German tax advisor certification (Steuerberater/in)
•Have 5+ years of relevant tax experience at a leading tax consulting or accounting firm, or in a fast-paced in-house tax function
•Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Law, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
•Have a comprehensive understanding of German CIT, VAT, and WHT, or be eager to cover the full spectrum of tax topics end-to-end
•Have strong Excel skills and an affinity for financial systems and automation
•Demonstrate pragmatic problem-solving, effective prioritisation, strong communication and influence, and a hands-on ownership mindset
•Be professionally fluent in German and English, written and spoken
