About the Role
Provides technical leadership for the design, development, and support of Node.js-based applications and services supporting the Expert Events platform. Responsible for solution architecture, application development, system integrations, code quality, and mentoring engineering team members. Partners with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
Essential Functions
•Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Node.js applications, APIs, and microservices.
•Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to development teams.
•Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
•Drive architecture, performance, security, and quality best practices.
•Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver roadmap initiatives.
•Support production issue resolution, release planning, and platform modernization efforts.
•Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
•5+ years of software development experience.
•3+ years of Node.js development experience.
•Strong expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.
•Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with TypeScript, AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
•Experience supporting customer-facing applications in Agile environments.
