As a technical project manager, you take on a key role in the development of world-leading electronic signals intelligence and self-protection systems. You are responsible for the technical governance in customer projects and lead the work from idea to finished solution – together with dedicated specialists and teams.
You become part of Product Unit Electronic Surveillance (PU ES) in Solna, a fun and dynamic team with an informal and open culture. Here you work closely with both customers and end users, while collaborating with colleagues in areas such as systems, software, integration, verification, quality, design, and production.
In this role you will, among other things:
•Have overall responsibility for the project's technical scope.
•Lead the technical work together with specialists and cross-functional teams.
•Identify and manage technical risks and trade-offs.
•Ensure that technical solutions meet requirements on time, budget, scope, and quality.
•Communicate goals, solutions, and areas of responsibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
•Contribute to running projects in an efficient and competitive way.
The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with project managers, the product organization, customers, and other key people. Travel occurs, both domestically and internationally, sometimes at short notice.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a solid technical background and at least five years of experience in, for example, project management, systems engineering, integration, or product development.
To succeed in this role, we believe you:
•Have a technical education or equivalent experience.
•Have experience leading technical work and enjoy getting different competencies to pull in the same direction.
•Have a strong technical and systematic understanding and can see both the whole and the details.
•Are structured, analytical, and results-oriented.
•Are comfortable handling multiple parallel demands and can make decisions when conditions change.
•Have very good collaboration and communication skills in Swedish and English.
Leadership experience is advantageous, as is experience with EW systems and Signal Intelligence. Above all, we are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and wants to continue developing – both as a technical expert and as a leader.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements regarding citizenship.
