Your role
We are looking for a Section Manager for production of Heavy Torpedoes mechanics and underwater mine systems. Production in this case includes assembly of new systems, testing and verification, and aftermarket activities.
In your role as Section Manager, you act from the perspective of achieving a learning organization with engaged employees who contribute to positive development by understanding the company's challenges, business concept and overall objectives.
Work location will be Motala, as most of the production is located there; some activities are also conducted in Linköping, so travel between the sites will be required.
You will lead approximately 10 employees in their daily work with assembly, testing and aftermarket activities. You are responsible for personnel, finances and delivery within your area of responsibility and report to the area manager. You will become part of the area manager's management team, which also includes another Section Manager and production project management.
Areas of work will involve:
•Personnel management, development and recruitment within the business area.
•Detailed planning of production.
•Capacity calculations and resource allocation.
•Optimization of quality, methods, materials and personnel.
•Collaboration with product development and design in the development of materials/products.
•Introduction and training of subordinate personnel.
•Work environment responsibility.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with education in a relevant field or equivalent experience. To succeed in the role, we see that you have leadership experience and are technically interested. Previous experience as a line manager or team leader in any role is an advantage. The most important thing is that you have the ability to handle goal management and follow-up, and can absorb and convey information.
