About the role
GEA Separation & Flow Technologies covers GEA's process technology components and machines, the heart of many production processes. Products include separators, decanters, pumps, valves and homogenizers.
In Kontich we are looking for a Sales Engineer Homogenizers.
Responsibilities / Tasks
As Sales Engineer Homogenizers, you are responsible for the commercial development of our homogenizer business in Belgium and Luxembourg. You sell both new machines and service solutions, working with existing customers as well as developing new customers and projects.
You get a lot of freedom to develop your market. You build relationships, discover commercial opportunities and try to understand what is happening in the customer's process. Based on that knowledge, you advise the customer on the solution that best fits the application.
You do not need to be a specialist in homogenization technology at the start. We are mainly looking for a strong commercial professional with an affinity for technology, curiosity about processes, and the will to learn. We will help you further build your product and process knowledge and develop into a real specialist.
What will you do?
•You are commercially responsible for the sale of new homogenizers and service solutions in Belgium and Luxembourg.
•You visit customers and prospects and get familiar with their production processes, applications and challenges.
•You advise customers on suitable technical and commercial solutions.
•You keep commercial activities and opportunities up to date in the CRM.
•You work closely with colleagues in Belgium and with our factory in Italy.
•You follow market developments and actively look for opportunities to further build our position.
You guide the commercial process from the first customer inquiry to quotation, negotiation and order. You are supported by our Sales Support Homogenizers, who help you with quotations, order processing follow-up and coordination with our factory in Italy. This allows you to focus mainly on customers, commercial opportunities and developing the market.
Your Profile / Qualifications
You are commercially driven, get energy from customer contact and take initiative to further develop business. At the same time, you want to understand what is happening technically at a customer. Not because you need to be able to engineer everything yourself, but because you want to be able to advise the customer well.
Furthermore, you preferably have:
•Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent through relevant experience.
•Experience in technical B2B sales, preferably within the process industry, food & beverage or a similar environment.
•A commercial mindset and the drive to develop revenue and new business.
•Affinity with technology and interest in production processes.
•Good communication and commercial skills.
•Experience with CRM is a plus.
•Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
•Knowledge of French is a plus.
What we offer
•A competitive salary package including a company car, meal vouchers, group insurance, hospitalization insurance, etc.
•20 vacation days + 12 ADV days (40-hour work week)
•Flexibility in working hours. Working from home is possible.
•An international working environment and the opportunity to work with top customers.
•GEA invests in your personal development and supports both internal and external training programs for your further development. Opportunity to grow and develop into other roles at GEA.
•Ability to work in an environment where innovation and change are part of the daily culture.
•A challenging role with a lot of freedom and responsibility.
•Contact with diverse customers and industries, so no day is the same.
•Room to shape your sales strategy and further expand your market knowledge.
