CloudFerro S.A.

Python engineer in PaaS services

In short

Python engineer role building PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) components for a cloud platform supporting the European space industry, climate research, and scientific projects. The role involves designing multi-tenant, large-scale solutions, working with Kubernetes and a modern CNCF stack (KNative, Cilium, ArgoCD, Kubeflow), and using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code daily. Requires solid Python, framework experience (FastAPI/Flask/Django), REST API design, SQL/NoSQL persistence, and Kubernetes deployment skills. Onsite, full-time position in Warsaw at the middle seniority level.

Responsibilities
•Developing components that form part of PaaS services.
•Designing solutions for multi-tenant environments and large-scale systems.
•Collaborating with the Product Manager to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
•Creating prototypes and proofs of concept for new solutions.
•Developing existing code and implementing new components.
•Making technical decisions that take security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability into account.
•Ensuring code quality through code reviews, automated tests, refactoring, and good engineering practices.
•Diagnosing complex problems at the intersection of PaaS services, shared services, and cloud infrastructure.
•Collaborating with other technical teams.
•Creating and developing documentation and standards.
Requirements
•Good knowledge of Python.
•Practical knowledge of at least one framework (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
•Knowledge of REST API design principles: CRUD operations, error handling, data validation, versioning.
•Experience building a persistence layer using SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Redis) — data modelling, migration management.
•Knowledge of Kubernetes sufficient to independently deploy, configure, and troubleshoot your own service.
•Fluent use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot) as a regular part of your engineering toolkit.
Nice to have
•Knowledge of Go.
•Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
•Experience implementing distributed solutions for multi-tenant environments and large-scale systems.
•Ability to containerise applications (Docker) and build CI/CD pipelines for services under development.
•Knowledge of observability topics: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing.
•Experience working as a full-stack engineer.
Conditions
•Building a cloud platform: you create a modern ecosystem from the ground up that supports the European space industry, climate research, and scientific projects with real impact.
•Autonomous team: you join a newly formed group that operates like a startup, but within a stable, large organisation with access to resources that small companies cannot provide.
•CNCF technologies in production: you work with Kubernetes, KNative, Cilium, ArgoCD, Kubeflow, and other open-source projects, with the opportunity to contribute to them.
•Real impact: you have a voice in architectural and product decisions, and your ideas genuinely shape the platform's development direction.
•AI-native workflow: tools such as Claude Code are used every day, not as an experiment, but as an integral part of the work.
•Autonomy and stability: a great deal of freedom in organising your work, transparent collaboration principles, and stable forms of employment with attractive compensation.
•Benefits package including medical care, a Multisport card, and life insurance.
•Opportunity to take language classes.
