Job Description Summary
As a Project Manager – World Class Manufacturing (WCM), you occupy a key role at the intersection of strategy and operations. You design quantitative models to inform strategic decisions and drive the digital transformation of industrial projects. You are the bridge between complex data simulation and real-world execution, ensuring future factories achieve operational excellence from day one.
Your Responsibilities
•Simulation & Modeling: Design high-fidelity simulations to model complex manufacturing environments (supply chains, operational flows, manufacturing line architecture, machine operation and inter-machine handling, demand fluctuations and product mix, equipment breakdowns, etc.), grounded in real-world conditions.
•Digitalization & Automation: Lead the deployment of "Digitalization & Automation" initiatives for capital investment projects, integrating network infrastructure, equipment connectivity on the shop floor, and machine data collection and exploitation in an environment leveraging artificial intelligence, automation initiatives, and robotics, in line with the GEV World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards.
•Scenario Analysis: Use your models to test the robustness of projects, quantify risks, and measure the impact of critical variables (resource constraints, OEE – overall equipment effectiveness, economic fluctuations).
•Decision Support: Translate complex technical data into clear, objective recommendations for leadership, facilitating investment allocation and continuous improvement choices.
•Operational Excellence: Support Lean roadmaps by validating capacity and process scenarios before each investment, ensuring compliance with production objectives (Manufacturing Target Conditions).
•Continuous Improvement: Support Kaizen projects with "what-if" modeling analyses to optimize efficiency.
Your Profile
You are curious and oriented toward solving complex problems, able to translate technical data into concrete operational strategies.
•Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
•Experience: Significant experience (3 to 6 years) in industrial operations, supply chain, or operational excellence.
•Lean & Digital Expertise: Mastery of Lean principles (VSM, takt time, line balancing) and knowledge of industrial digitalization and automation tools.
•Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, FlexSim, Arena, Simio) and statistical methods (ANOVA, regressions, t-tests).
•Communication: Demonstrated ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
An engineering degree is a plus, but professional experience and achievements are of primary interest.
