Description
We are looking for an experienced Development Manager / IT Project Manager to join a team responsible for delivering complex IT projects within a banking environment. The role involves end-to-end project management and coordination between business and technology teams throughout the software development and implementation lifecycle.
Responsibilities
•Planning and managing IT projects in line with established project management standards and methodologies.
•Creating and maintaining project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of agreed project objectives.
•Coordinating the work of business, analytical, architecture, development, testing and infrastructure teams.
•Managing project budgets, risks, dependencies and changes, including their impact on project timelines and delivery.
•Organizing and facilitating project meetings, workshops and steering committees.
•Reporting project status, risks and key issues to sponsors, management and other stakeholders.
•Overseeing solution acceptance processes and coordinating deployments to production environments.
•Ensuring project activities comply with internal regulations, security requirements and corporate architecture standards.
•Identifying and escalating issues requiring management decisions and coordinating appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
Requirements
•Proven experience in independently managing IT projects.
•Very good understanding of the software development and implementation lifecycle.
•Knowledge of project management methodologies and delivery approaches such as Agile and Scrum.
•Experience in managing project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and change.
•Good understanding of IT project delivery processes within complex corporate environments.
•Strong experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
•Very good communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
•Ability to work independently, take ownership and make decisions in a dynamic project environment.
Nice to have
•Previous experience delivering IT projects within banking, financial services or another regulated environment.
•Experience working with architecture, security, infrastructure, development and testing teams.
•Practical knowledge of production deployment processes and organizational readiness for new IT solutions.
