About the Role
We are looking to bring on a Data Engineer & Analyst to participate in an international project with a strong focus on data engineering, automation and analytics. The person will be part of the Data/IT team and work closely with the business and the client, taking responsibility for ensuring data quality, availability and reliability, from capture and integration through to use in reporting and dashboards.
Responsibilities
•Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations from different sources.
•Work on a modern data platform using technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow and Airbyte.
•Develop ETL/ELT processes and data models for analytics.
•Automate processes for loading, transforming and sending information.
•Integrate data through APIs, SFTP, SharePoint, Google Drive and other sources.
•Implement quality controls to ensure data completeness, consistency and reliability.
•Identify manual processes, especially those currently carried out in Excel, and transform them into automated, scalable and maintainable solutions.
•Document integrations, models and processes in line with development best practices.
•Design, configure and maintain dashboards and management reports.
•Prepare periodic reporting and business analyses.
•Analyze KPIs, trends and potential deviations, turning data into actionable information.
•Respond to ad hoc analysis needs from the business or the client.
•Work with Power BI, including semantic models, DAX and report publishing.
Requirements
•University degree or higher vocational qualification in STEM, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics or similar fields.
•Approximately 2–3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics or hybrid positions with a strong technical component.
•Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
•Experience in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
•Knowledge of Python for data automation and integration.
•Experience building dashboards with Power BI or Looker.
•Experience working in client environments and delivering on a recurring basis.
•C1 English, as the role will involve communication and reporting in English.
