Verda

Product marketing manager for platform and developer

In short

Senior product marketing manager role owning positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for Verda's platform and inference products, aimed at AI/ML and platform engineer audiences. The company builds a full-stack AI cloud with offices in Helsinki, London, and San Francisco, and this role is hybrid in London. It requires 5+ years of product marketing experience (at least 2 in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or technical PaaS), hands-on technical fluency, and strong writing for technical audiences.

About Verda
At Verda, we're building a full-stack AI cloud, covering everything from data centers and hardware to our own cloud platform that the world's leading AI teams use to do serious AI work. We strive to make a positive mark on the world through the infrastructure we build and give leading teams a service they can truly depend on. Headquartered in Helsinki, we operate globally with offices in London and San Francisco. Join Verda while it's still being built - not once it's finished.
Responsibilities
•Own positioning and messaging for Verda's platform and inference products, defining what these products promise, who they are for, and why a practitioner should choose them, validated against real developer conversations and usage evidence.
•Own the self-serve narrative from first touch through activation and expansion, working with Growth Marketing to define what the journey measures.
•Use that evidence to refine messaging and targeting and to identify where the experience is creating friction.
•Own competitive intelligence for the self-serve and developer segments, producing teardowns, differentiation, and positioning guidance that hold up to technical scrutiny.
•Partner with Product, Engineering, and the AI Lab, bringing customer, market, and competitive signals into roadmap discussions, and translating technical capabilities into language a practitioner trusts.
•Own go-to-market for self-serve launches, coordinating across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Content, enabling internal teams ahead of release, and measuring success on adoption, not just awareness.
•Define and activate Verda's priority technical use cases — fine-tuning, batch inference, real-time serving, agentic workloads — translating them into solution narratives, use-case pages, and campaign inputs developers actually respond to.
•Develop the technical content that earns credibility with this audience, working with the AI Lab on benchmarks and deep dives, and surfacing developer proofpoints and real projects built on Verda.
•Shape how Verda shows up at developer-facing events and conferences, defining the story, technical proof points, and audience fit for each.
Requirements
•5+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 2 in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or technical PaaS
•Experience building messaging frameworks and toolkits that scale across teams
•Familiarity with the ML/AI engineer and platform engineer audience, what they value, and what separates a credible technical claim from marketing noise
•Experience marketing products that developers evaluate, adopt, and expand on their own, without a sales conversation, including how self-serve acquisition, activation, and expansion actually work
•Familiarity with growth metrics and experimentation frameworks and the technical instrumentation behind them, with the instinct to define what should be measured before deciding what to say
•Hands-on technical fluency — you sign into the console, read the docs, and run the workload before you write about it, forming your own view of whether a product is good rather than relying on someone else's
•Experience working directly with product and engineering teams, and comfort holding your own in a technical conversation with people who build the thing
•Exceptional writing for technical audiences
•Strong autonomy, a bias toward shipping and iterating over lengthy planning cycles, with the ability to work across distributed teams and time zones
•Working understanding of AI infrastructure concepts: the difference between training and inference workloads, what serverless means for GPU-backed workloads, container and deployment fundamentals, and the economics of tokens, utilisation, and cold starts
•Experience building competitive analysis that holds up under real scrutiny, grounded in independent verification, not just competitor claims
Nice to have:
•Technical background or training: engineering, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience is a strong plus
Conditions
•Cash and equity compensation along with various fringe benefits
•Profitable operations with rapid, sustained growth
•40+ nationalities, with 6 different ones on the management team
•A real chance to make an impact and work alongside world class engineers, researchers, and partners across the global AI ecosystem
