About the Role
We're the team behind digital retailer Very. Our Customer & Retail Product team is on a journey to transform how we use technology, data and insight to drive better outcomes for both customers and colleagues. We work across the full customer lifecycle, supporting everything from awareness and acquisition through to loyalty, retention and customer value. We also help build the tools, data products and decision-making capabilities that enable our commercial, retail and operational teams to perform at their best.
You'll join a collaborative, ambitious and growing product function that partners closely with Technology, Data & AI, Marketing, Retail, Commercial and Financial Services teams. Together we're creating a more connected and insight-led organisation, focused on delivering measurable business value while continually improving the experience for customers and colleagues. This is an environment that values curiosity, innovation and evidence-based decision making. We encourage experimentation, continuous learning and a strong product mindset, giving our people the opportunity to influence meaningful change at scale.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Product Manager to join our Customer & Retail Product team and take ownership of a key product or capability area within our wider customer and retail ecosystem. This is a highly strategic role where you'll define product vision, shape roadmaps and lead the delivery of capabilities that help us attract, serve and retain customers more effectively. You could be working across areas such as customer acquisition, CRM, loyalty, personalisation, pricing, forecasting, decision intelligence or commercial optimisation.
You'll be responsible for understanding customer, colleague and business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and translating them into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes. Working closely with technology, data, analytics and business stakeholders, you'll ensure the right problems are being solved and that products deliver real value. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on product leadership. One day you might be defining a long-term roadmap with senior stakeholders, the next you could be prioritising delivery, reviewing performance metrics or exploring how AI and emerging technologies can improve decision-making and customer experiences.
Requirements
You'll be an experienced Product Manager, Product Lead or similar product professional with a track record of delivering customer, retail, digital or operational products in complex organisations. You'll be comfortable operating at both strategic and delivery levels, able to create a compelling long-term vision while ensuring teams remain focused on achieving measurable outcomes today.
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
•Experience owning and delivering product strategies, roadmaps and business outcomes
•Strong commercial awareness and an ability to balance customer needs, business value and technical considerations
•Experience working closely with technology, engineering, data and analytics teams
•A customer-first mindset with a passion for solving real problems and delivering meaningful value
•Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across multiple functions
•Experience prioritising initiatives using data, insight, evidence and commercial impact
•Knowledge of agile product development practices and modern product management approaches
•Exposure to data-driven, analytical or AI-enabled products and capabilities would be advantageous
•Experience owning products within Retail Data, Analytics, Decision Intelligence, Digital Marketing, PPC, CRM or Customer Growth domains
Depending on business priorities, this role could have a stronger focus on either Retail Data Products or Marketing & Acquisition capabilities, so we're keen to hear from candidates with experience in either space.
Above all, you'll be a collaborative leader who enjoys bringing people together, creating clarity in complex environments and helping teams deliver their best work.
