Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst who combines analytical precision with a strong product sense. You make decisions based on data. You will identify real user problems based on qualitative and quantitative data, develop an assessment of what should change, set up the right experiment, and analyze the results yourself. You are part of a Product team focused on one part of the User Journey.
Responsibilities
•Identify the actual problem before solving it. Dive into quantitative and qualitative data until you find the real question behind the assignment. Then make it understandable and actionable. A well-formulated problem is half the solution.
•Set up the experiment, read it honestly, and decide what comes next. Define a testable change, instrument it properly, and analyze the result. Then use what you have learned to formulate the next question. This also includes reporting on tests that did not work and shaping the next step.
•Use AI and apply your judgment where it matters. AI supports many of our first drafts. You will brief it, challenge it, and ensure quality—so your own time remains available for the thinking a model cannot do.
•Make the case for leaving things out. Adding is easy. You will help decide what deserves its place and what should be removed—and be ready to stand by that decision.
•Talk to your neighbors. Experiments tell you what happened—not what people would have needed. You will spend real time with the people who use the product, because you cannot develop an understanding of others through A/B tests.
•Design experiences based on real user needs and real neighborhood life. Your job is to contribute to flows and screens that are intuitive to use and justify their place through measurable added value.
Requirements
•You have a strong product sense and work in a data-driven way. Your background can vary—Product Analytics, CRO, Growth Engineering, or a more hybrid role in Product or Design—as long as you know how to sharpen hypotheses, set up experiments, and translate results into decisions.
•You have conducted experiments from beginning to end and know how to move from one to the next: formulate a hypothesis, develop strong variants, define the right metrics, analyze results, and make a clear decision—launch, discard, or iterate.
•You have technical know-how and experience setting up and evaluating experiments in an A/B testing tool, as well as creating the dashboards required for them.
•You retrieve your own numbers using SQL queries. You work with raw data to gain insights and identify opportunities—without having to wait for others.
•You have basic statistical knowledge. You do not need to know R, but you understand what Bayesian versus frequentist statistics involves and why you conduct a power analysis before starting an experiment.
•You present your work clearly, defend your decisions when challenged, and feel confident speaking in front of an audience.
•You work routinely with AI tools. This role gives you more influence and control—but you need to be able to use and further develop our AI enablement stack.
•Very good German skills are required—you will design and evaluate texts and flows for German-speaking users. Good English skills for collaboration in the international team.
Conditions
•A hybrid working model that combines at least two office days with remote work.
•A meaningful job—we are creating a great product with real value for the community.
•Work with a cheerful and experienced team that shares ideas and learns from one another.
•Insight into the entire working process of our social startup and the nebenan.de Foundation.
•Responsibility and great opportunities to actively contribute.
•Your nebenan.de SpenditCard—you receive an additional €35 per month, which you can spend on things of your choice.
•30 days of vacation per year—we also offer the possibility of workation arrangements and a sabbatical.
