We are looking for someone to develop prototypes and build the shared technical foundation for future products.
Responsibilities
•Together with Product Owners, you implement product ideas as working prototypes, test technical assumptions and show what still needs to be put in place for secure and maintainable production operation.
•You create preconfigured repositories with project structure, sample code, tests, documentation and guidelines for AI-assisted development. This allows Product Owners to start new projects without having to rebuild the technical foundation each time.
•You develop reusable functions for multiple products, particularly for authentication, user and permissions management, as well as other required interfaces and services.
•Together with the subject-matter owners, you define which data and APIs products exchange. You document these agreements in machine-readable form and set up automated compatibility checks for changes.
•You set up development and test environments, CI/CD, automated checks, secure credential management and traceable approvals. A prototype does not automatically become a production application.
•You select suitable AI development tools, teach their practical use and support Product Owners in checking results for functionality, security and maintainability.
•You formulate technical requirements, review contributions from external development partners and ensure that new solutions use the agreed interfaces.
Requirements
•Several years of practical experience in software development and in building APIs, cloud applications and development environments
•Experience with authentication and authorization, data modeling, interface design, automated testing and CI/CD
•The ability to develop usable prototypes and shared technical services—as needed, both in the backend and for simple user interfaces
•Experience with repository templates, development standards or comparable tools that make it easier for others to start developing independently
•Experience with AI-assisted software development and the ability to assess when AI-generated code needs additional checks for functionality, security and maintainability
•An independent and pragmatic approach to work: you can set priorities in a technical environment that is being built from scratch, document decisions and clarify technical topics in an understandable way with Product Owners and external partners
•Very good spoken and written German (at least C1 level) for clear coordination with subject-matter owners and technical documentation, as well as good technical English
