Moneybox

People Operations Specialist

In short

This People Operations Specialist role at Moneybox, a UK wealth management platform, owns the day-to-day running of core people processes — onboarding, offboarding, payroll administration and HR systems data (HiBob, Culture Amp, Zinc). It's a regulated-business role requiring hands-on ownership of SM&CR administration, background screening and FCA compliance, plus a push toward automating manual HR admin with AI tools. Needs 2+ years of People Operations/HR administration experience, strong UK employment law knowledge, and ideally FCA-regulated industry background.

About the Role
At Moneybox, our mission is to give everyone the means to get more out of life. We're guided by our belief that wealth isn't about the money, it's about the means to more - more freedom, opportunities, possibilities, and peace of mind. Moneybox is an award-winning wealth management platform, helping over one and a half million people build wealth throughout their lives, whether they're saving and investing, buying their first home, or planning for retirement.
You'll own the day-to-day running of Moneybox's core people processes, from a new joiner's first contract to their final payslip. It's a hands-on role at the centre of the People Team: you'll make sure every employee has a smooth, accurate and compliant experience at each stage of their time with us. As a regulated business, getting the details right matters. You'll own our SM&CR administration and background screening, keep our people data accurate across our HR systems, and run payroll administration each month. We also want someone who sees a manual process and asks how it could be automated. You'll use AI and automation tools in your daily work and help us remove repetitive admin so the team can focus on higher-value work.

•Coordinate exit surveys and share themes with the People Team

•Spot manual, repetitive tasks and support proposals to automate or simplify them
•Help build and improve automated workflows across our people systems
•Share what works with the team and help others adopt new tools
Whilst the core focus of this role will be People Operations, we work as a blended team and recognise the importance of supporting one another. From time to time, this will mean lending a hand outside your day-to-day responsibilities, such as supporting our Office Manager with the setup of our monthly company meetings.
Requirements
•2+ years' experience in a People Operations or HR administration role, ideally in a fast-paced or scaling business
•Hands-on experience running end-to-end onboarding and offboarding
•Experience of payroll administration and preparing accurate monthly inputs
•Confident with HR systems and data; you care about accuracy and notice when something doesn't add up
•Comfortable working with confidential information and handling it with discretion
•Highly organised: you can manage many processes at once without letting deadlines slip
•Curious about AI and automation, and already using tools to work smarter
•Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice
•Experience in financial services or another FCA-regulated environment
•Working knowledge of SM&CR, regulatory references and F&P assessments
