About the Project
Andersen's customer provides software quality services that help organizations improve the reliability, usability, and performance of digital products. It combines quality engineering expertise, flexible delivery models, and technology-enabled services to support web, mobile, and other digital solutions. The project is a SaaS testing platform connecting businesses with a global network of professional testers and enabling application testing, issue tracking, tester management, and secure access to testing data through a Public API.
Responsibilities
•Develop and evolve Node.js/TypeScript microservices on a mature SaaS platform for software testing
•Own features end to end, from clarifying business problems with stakeholders and proposing solutions to writing test plans, delivering to production, and verifying results
•Build event-driven Kafka flows with multiple consumers, idempotent processing, ordering guarantees, failure handling, and transactional outbox
•Design cross-service data aggregation using GraphQL over REST microservices, BFF-style composition, sorting, filtering, and pagination
•Develop frontend features in React and TypeScript using GraphQL/Apollo
•Test own work using staging, regression suites, and feature-flag rollouts; review teammates' PRs for requirements and functional correctness
•Use Claude Code daily for design, planning, implementation, and code review, and take full ownership of the results
Requirements
•6+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including production microservice architectures
•Experience with AWS, including ECS, SQS, and S3
•Production experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and event-driven systems, including delivery guarantees, idempotency, event ordering, failure handling, and data consistency
•Hands-on experience with concurrency control, including optimistic locking and conflict handling
•Deep knowledge of distributed-systems patterns and hands-on experience applying transactional outbox, BFF/aggregation layer, and DLQ
•Familiarity with saga and CQRS
•Strong code-review skills, including verifying work against requirements and identifying functional, security, and performance issues
•Production experience with React and TypeScript, including end-to-end user-facing features, component architecture, state management, GraphQL/Apollo data fetching, and frontend testing
•Experience using GraphQL as an aggregation and composition layer across backend services
•Experience using Claude Code in daily development workflows, including skills, hooks, MCP, shared team conventions, and thorough testing and review of AI-generated changes
