Your role
In your job as a software developer, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire development chain: from concept, design and programming to delivery of the finished product. Based on your skills and preferences, as well as the project's needs, your role in the project is shaped — which means that in some projects you work across the whole chain, while others require you to specialize in one part of it. The language we mainly use in our daily development work is C# and we work with an application for Windows.
Mission Support System (MSS) is a collection of applications that help with planning and evaluation of missions in Gripen E. The system is used to create a situational picture and supports planning by gathering tactical information from several different sources. With high-resolution 2D and 3D map support, users can plan routes, arrange communications and determine how different sensors should be used. When the plan is ready, the mission is uploaded to the aircraft, and during the flight the sortie is recorded. When the sortie is finished, the recorded data is loaded back into MSS, where the user can analyze the material, everything from sensor and image data to weapons and other equipment information.

We are looking for someone with previous work experience in software development projects. A suitable education for the position is a university degree focused on systems development/IT.
It is advantageous if you have experience in, for example, open source development as well as your own leisure projects within software development. Previous experience in, for example, backend, frontend or full-stack development and C# .Net is also advantageous. Once you are in place with us, your colleagues will help you get into your new tasks, which we adapt based on your experience and knowledge.
