Who we are looking for
The Global Liquidity Management (GLM) Group, within the Global Treasury organization, oversees State Street's liquidity planning, monitoring, methodologies, analytics, and regulatory reporting globally. The group manages regulatory ratios such as the LCR, NSFR as well as the liquidity buffer requirements resulting from its Internal Liquidity Stress testing (ILST) and Recovery and Resolution planning (RRP) framework (RLAP/RLEN). The group is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements such as the daily FR2052a and associated public disclosures. We work collaboratively with the Global Treasury Risk Management (GTRM) function to ensure we are managing liquidity within firm policies, limits and risk tolerance while meeting regulatory expectations promulgated by the Federal Reserve, the FDIC and other regulators globally.
We are looking for a Business Analyst with minimum 4–5 years of experience in the Finance domain, preferably with exposure to liquidity reporting (FR2052a, ILST, etc.), regulatory reporting (FRY 14Q, FRY 9C, etc.), or related Treasury/Finance change initiatives. The role will support business requirements analysis, documentation, testing, and implementation activities by working closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners. The position will report to the Liquidity Data Governance Lead.

•Prepare and maintain high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), process flows, data mapping documents, test scenarios, and other technical or functional documentation.
•Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and support technology teams in solution design, development clarification, and defect resolution.
•Support end-to-end User Acceptance Testing, including test planning, test case preparation, execution, evidence documentation, defect logging, retesting, and sign-off coordination.
•Collaborate with developers, data engineers, QA teams, and business users to validate that implemented solutions meet approved business requirements and reporting expectations.
•Perform data analysis, source-to-target validation, reconciliations, and issue investigation using SQL, Excel, Python, Alteryx, or other data analytics tools.
•Support implementation activities including production readiness checks, user training material, release documentation, post-implementation validation, and business adoption support.
•Assist in identifying process improvements, automation opportunities, data quality gaps, and control enhancements across Finance and regulatory reporting processes.
•Work effectively across global teams and contribute to project governance routines, status updates, issue tracking, and timely escalation of risks and dependencies.
What we value
•Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand Finance processes, reporting requirements, data flows, and system impacts.
•Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology stakeholders and convert complex requirements into clear documentation.
•Detail-oriented approach to requirements management, UAT execution, defect tracking, and implementation validation.
•Comfortable working in a project-driven environment with competing priorities, timelines, and cross-functional dependencies.
•Proactive team player who takes ownership of assigned deliverables and drives issues to closure with minimal supervision.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
•4–5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Finance, Treasury, Liquidity Reporting, Capital Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Reporting, or financial services change management.
•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
•Good understanding of Finance and regulatory reporting concepts, with exposure to liquidity or capital reporting processes preferred.
•Hands-on experience preparing BRDs, FSDs, data mapping documents, process documentation, test plans, test cases, and implementation support materials.
•Experience working with technology teams across the SDLC, including requirements clarification, solution walkthroughs, UAT coordination, defect triage, release support, and post-production validation.
•Good working knowledge of Python and Alteryx for data analysis, automation, workflow development, and reporting support.
•Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel, data analysis, and reconciliation techniques; exposure to Oracle databases, Axiom, Collibra, or BI/reporting tools will be an advantage.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document requirements clearly and engage with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
