Saab Training & Simulation is in an exciting growth phase, now establishing a new department, Digital Training Solutions, focused on the software solutions of the future. As part of this initiative, we are looking for two managers for our new groups Design & Delivery and Systems & Intelligence.
Both groups play important roles in the development of our products and ways of working, while offering different areas of focus. Design & Delivery brings together competencies such as architecture, UX, requirements management, testing and other roles working closely with and around software development. The group will grow over time, and you will have the opportunity to help build the organization, shape ways of working and develop the team going forward.
Systems & Intelligence consists of different types of software developers, including frontend, backend, AI development and data science. This organization is also being built up, which means great opportunities to influence organization, ways of working and future development.
In this role you have full people management responsibility for your employees and are responsible for creating the right conditions for the team's development and performance. You work closely with employees through coaching, competence development and goal setting, while also driving the development of methods, processes and collaboration both within your own organization and together with neighboring organizations.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with experience working in or close to software development organizations. You don't need to have been a developer yourself, but you have a good understanding of the field, for example through leadership, project management or similar roles. You are motivated by developing both people and organizations, and you thrive in a role where you combine leadership with shaping ways of working, driving improvements and building structure in an organization under development.
We welcome candidates with different levels of leadership experience. For one of the positions, we would like you to have several years of experience leading organizations or larger teams, while for the other role we are also open to someone with a year or so of experience as a manager who wants to take the next step in their development. The most important thing for us is that you have strong leadership, a genuine interest in people and a willingness to help build something new.
You have a higher education degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience deemed comparable by the employer. Since the role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, you have a good ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security protection regulations applicable at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements regarding specific citizenship.
