About the Team
The team is developing a payment gateway for accepting funds from users on behalf of merchants and sending funds from merchants to users. The system stores user payment data, complies with PCI DSS, and integrates with payment systems, providers, gateways, and processors, including 3DS.
Responsibilities
•Develop new payment features and services
•Design and implement external and internal APIs
•Create and maintain processes in Camunda
•Participate in designing and developing high-load system architectures
•Support and enhance existing solutions and services
•Write high-quality code covered by unit and integration tests
•Conduct code reviews, including frontend code
•Optimize system performance and database queries
•Analyze and resolve production incidents and bugs
•Process and resolve requests from technical support and users as part of daily duties
•Analyze external provider documentation, conduct quick checks, and define epics and tasks based on Proof of Concept
•Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality of delivered products
•Maintain technical documentation and write technical specifications
•Assist with onboarding new developers and ensure code quality
•Define and form technical epics by analyzing existing solutions, identifying opportunities to improve architecture, performance, and reliability, preparing proposals, and aligning them with the team lead and architect
•Participate in creating business epics by analyzing requirements, assessing feasibility, proposing alternative or optimized solutions, and collaborating with analysts and product managers on implementation approaches
•Prepare tasks based on approved epics, ensuring detail and alignment with architectural and business requirements
•Estimate task timelines, participate in sprint planning, and provide technical time and effort estimates
•Create and develop reliable payment solutions with high security and performance
•Optimize payment system performance and scalability
•Integrate complex external providers
•Participate in ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and other high-security requirements
Requirements
•3+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience
•Experience with the Spring Framework
•Experience developing payment solutions, such as billing, payment gateways, payment processors, or exchanges
•Practical experience integrating external providers
•Experience designing and optimizing relational databases, including MySQL
•Experience with NoSQL databases, including Redis
•Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools to improve development speed and quality
•Ability to critically review AI-generated code for production readiness and compliance with company standards
•Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture principles and experience with distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
•Strong command of core software development and design principles, TDD, and CI/CD processes
•Experience implementing simple and moderately complex interfaces using ReactJS and/or Svelte
•Strong understanding of microservice architecture
•English proficiency at B1 or higher
