About the Company
Cellular Origins is transforming the treatment of devastating diseases like cancer through cell therapy. Using robotics and automation, the company is solving one of the biggest challenges in cell therapy: manufacturing at scale. The company is growing, moving into a new home in Melbourn, and building its own independent IT infrastructure.
The Role
As IT Administrator, you'll work closely with the Head of IT to build, run and continuously improve the technology that keeps Cellular Origins connected, secure and moving forward. You'll be hands-on across everything from Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure to business applications and workplace technology. Rather than inheriting an established environment and simply keeping it running, you'll help create one that can grow with the company. With a small IT team supporting the business, your ideas will be heard, your technical judgement will matter, and you'll have genuine ownership of the solutions you deliver.
Responsibilities
•Building our independent IT environment: Help deliver the Microsoft 365 tenant migration and manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Entra ID and Intune.
•Making technology work for our people: Build and deploy Windows 11 devices using Autopilot, imaging and scripted provisioning, making it easier for colleagues to get up and running.
•Shaping our new workplace: Help establish and maintain the network, wireless connectivity and workplace technology in the new Melbourn office.
•Improving the systems we rely on: Support and develop business applications including NetSuite, the SharePoint intranet and internal Power Platform tools.
•Making IT secure and sustainable: Put clear documentation, practical controls and repeatable processes in place so the systems you build are easy to support and maintain.
•Finding better ways of working: Use automation to reduce repetitive tasks, explore new technologies and work with suppliers to make sure the company is getting the best from its IT investments.
•Help build the right foundations for a business working with customers in the life sciences industry, where security, reliability and well-documented processes really matter.
Requirements
•Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a live business environment, particularly Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and Entra ID.
•Experience managing Windows devices using Intune, including Windows deployment and provisioning.
•A good understanding of enterprise networking, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS and wireless networks.
•Practical PowerShell skills to automate tasks, produce reports and make everyday IT work more efficiently.
•The ability to write clear, useful documentation and explain technical decisions to people who aren't IT specialists.
•Confidence working independently, setting priorities and seeing problems through from start to finish.
Nice to Have
•Experience with Fortinet networking products, Azure administration, tenant migrations or Power Platform applications such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
•Experience managing software licences and suppliers.
•Experience using AI tools to improve business workflows.
•Relevant Microsoft 365 or Fortinet certifications.
