About us
Innovamat is an educational organization focused on mathematics learning. Its purpose is to help improve how this science is learned, offering resources, training and research to the educational community.
Founded in 2017 in Barcelona, Innovamat has 31,000 teachers from more than 3,300 educational centers in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Italy, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Peru. Thanks to them, more than 720,000 students learn mathematics with deep understanding and competency development.
About the role
We are looking for someone passionate about the didactics of mathematics to lead the training and support of Secondary Education teachers in Catalonia. Your day-to-day will consist of going center to center, advising and accompanying teachers in the implementation of our educational proposal. Not only in the didactics of mathematics, but in everything that surrounds good classroom practice.
You will manage accounts directly, but always from a training-oriented perspective. Your focus is for each center to implement Innovamat well and for each teacher to feel supported. Given the context you'll work in, part of your time will also have a business perspective. This will help you better understand the reality of the centers and support them with more insight.
Over time, we aim for you to become a reference and leading figure in your region: someone teachers trust to resolve doubts, ask for advice and feel supported.
Your day-to-day at Innovamat
•Train Secondary Education teachers: from sessions for two people to trainings in front of groups of a hundred, with the same confidence.
•Accompany and advise teachers in the implementation of Innovamat's proposal, beyond pure mathematics didactics.
•Visit centers in your region, accompanying teachers in their daily classroom work.
•Manage your accounts with a training and implementation-focused approach.
•Act as a coach for teachers when needed, helping them grow and gain confidence.
•Become the reference person in your region, building community and trust among teachers.
What are we looking for in you?
•A solid foundation in mathematics and classroom experience in Secondary Education.
•Passion for the didactics of mathematics, or a strong desire to train deeply in it.
•Great communication skills, teacher to teacher. You speak comfortably in public, in both small and large groups. For this we need a high level of Catalan.
•Driving license B to travel to educational centers across Catalonia.
•Close leadership: you generate trust and become a reference for your team of teachers.
•Empathy and a lot of tact to handle difficult situations.
•Strategic outlook. Over time, the ability to think beyond and rethink advisory work, our way of doing things and how we support Secondary centers.
