About the Role
Sumsub is the first AI-powered trust infrastructure for compliance operations at scale. It connects identity and business verification, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and risk workflows, helping teams reduce manual work and enter new markets. We are now looking for a Financial Analyst to strengthen our product and commercial finance analytics. This role is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our finance analytics lead and turn operational and accounting data into insights that guide business decisions.
Responsibilities
•Analyse product and commercial performance, connecting revenue, direct costs and margins with operational drivers.
•Reconcile billing, operational dashboards and accounting data, investigate discrepancies and keep financial metric definitions consistent.
•Compare actual results with budgets, forecasts and prior periods, explain material variances and identify actions or areas for further investigation.
•Work with accountants and functional owners to verify cost completeness, accruals, allocations and the timing of expense recognition.
•Analyse product cost drivers, unit costs and profitability, keeping assumptions and allocation methods clear and traceable.
•Build and improve recurring reports and dashboards, define data requirements with Analytics and IT, and reduce manual data collection and reconciliation.
•Prepare concise management presentations and ad hoc analysis, follow up on discrepancies and strengthen controls over financial reporting data.
Requirements
•A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, with 4+ years of experience in financial audit, financial reporting, FP&A or commercial finance.
•Strong accounting knowledge across P&L, balance sheet and accruals, with experience working directly with accountants.
•Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets, reconciliations or financial models.
•An investigative mindset and attention to detail: you can trace figures to source data, test assumptions and explain why reports disagree.
•The ability to turn business questions into clear metrics, reporting requirements and useful management commentary, organise recurring work independently and turn findings into practical improvements.
•Fluent English.
Nice to have: Senior-level Big Four audit experience, product or commercial finance experience in tech, familiarity with NetSuite or another major ERP, BI tools, Power Query or SQL, or ACCA Financial Reporting or DipIFR. Valuation experience is also welcome when backed by strong accounting and practical data investigation skills.
