About the Role
Amazon's Prime Video team has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the EMEA operational accounting activities of Prime Video.
Responsibilities
•Supporting aspects of our accounting and reporting process
•End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners
•Understand internal control design concepts to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new effective processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities
•Execute judgment and ensure the right decisions are reached to accurately report financial results
•Drive projects, provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or experience or equivalent experience in finance roles
•Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day-to-day financial activities
•Speak, write, and read fluently in English
•Experience supporting month-end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures
•Experience supporting the implementation of controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments
•Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions
Nice to Have
•Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
•Knowledge of financial reporting tools (Cognos, Redshift)
•Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)
•Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau)
