Responsibilities
•Manage the finances of the organization and its projects
•Handle budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and management reporting
•Analyze costs, revenues, variances, and the profitability of activities
•Manage the financial aspects of grants and externally funded projects
•Oversee project settlements and the eligibility of expenses
•Manage liquidity and prepare cash flow forecasts
•Oversee the allocation of costs and revenues
•Coordinate VAT matters and work with the accounting office
•Prepare data for closing processes, statements, audits, and inspections
•Improve financial processes and participate in implementing a new system
•Support the Board and project leaders in financial decision-making
Requirements
•Several years of experience in an independent finance role, such as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Financial Controller
•Strong knowledge of controlling, budgeting, and reporting
•Experience settling grants, subsidies, or externally funded projects
•Good knowledge of accounting and VAT
•Very good Excel skills
•Experience with financial systems or ERP
•English sufficient to work with financial documentation
•Ability to turn financial data into recommendations; independence and proactivity
Nice to have
•Experience in a project-based or educational organization, a foundation, or an environment with multiple funding sources
